I'm a freelance writer based in Colorado juggling side hustles, kids, and an ever-growing stack of unwatched Blu-rays.

WORK

I ramble on about film and create detailed technical reviews of Blu-ray discs. I've been writing for HighDefDigest.com since 2015 reviewing independent genre films and cult classics. My film blog BetaMaxBandits.com is where I post my personal reviews and opinions on film and home video. Between 2010-2013 I was a film researcher and newsletter creator for the now defunct HKFlix.com which specialized in East Asian genre films. Previous to all that I spent many years clerking at various videostores in Maryland, West Virginia, and Australia.

When I'm not watching films I enjoy traveling, mountain biking, playing trumpet, and roadtripping.
